About the Government communications troops of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 31, 1992 No. 902

Guided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and in order to reliably provide government communications to the highest authorities and management of the Republic of Kazakhstan in peacetime, as well as during special periods and in emergency situations, I decree:      

1. To form the government communications troops of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the 8th separate brigade of government communications troops of the Federal Agency for Government Communications and Information under the President of the Russian Federation, stationed in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, transforming it into a government communications regiment.      

2. Subordinate the Government communications regiment to the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the Government Communications Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

To transform the Government Communications Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan into the Main Government Communications Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

The National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with interested ministries and departments, shall develop and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan for approval a Regulation on Government communications in the Republic of Kazakhstan within one month.      

3. To preserve the existing conditions of remuneration, clothing and other types of allowances for military personnel, workers, specialists and employees of the government communications regiment of the Main Directorate of Government Communications of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and extend to them the benefits provided for the relevant categories of employees of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

4. By October 1, 1992, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall resolve the issues of financing, logistical and social support for the Main Directorate of Government Communications of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
