Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 21, 2004 No. 14

 Article 1. To make the following amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 7, 1997 "On State Statistics" (Gazette of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1997, No. 9, Article 91; 2001, No. 4, Article 23; 2002, No. 1, Article 3; No. 17, Article 155) and extensions:

1) throughout the text, the words "Plan", "Plan", "Plan", "Plan" should be replaced by the words "plan", "plan", "plan", "plan", respectively;

2) in article 2: add the following sixth paragraph: "The national census is a nationwide statistical observation of all individuals and legal entities to be surveyed throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of a certain point in time. Is carried out by the authorized body outside the statistical work plan;";

The eighth paragraph should be worded as follows: "statistical work plan - a document containing an annual plan for conducting state statistical observations and other statistical work related to statistical observations;";

3) the fourth and fifth parts of Article 3 shall be worded as follows: "The provision of primary statistical information during national censuses and state statistical observations provided for in the statistical work plan by individuals and legal entities, as well as their structural divisions, is mandatory and is carried out free of charge. The statistical work plan is approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan after preliminary discussion with interested representatives of science and public organizations.";

4) in the third part of Article 8, the words "in cases established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan" should be replaced by the words "covered by state statistical observations";

5) in article 10: in the first paragraph, the words "and for the purpose of implementing the Statistical Work Plan" should be deleted;

In the third paragraph, replace the words "in cases prescribed by law" with the words "in order to implement the statistical work plan and conduct national censuses";

6) add the words "in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan" to the sixth paragraph of Article 11.;

7) Article 13 should be worded as follows: "Article 13. Guarantees of the rights of individuals and legal entities

Individuals and legal entities are guaranteed the confidentiality of primary statistical information and the availability of a statistical work plan. The dissemination of primary statistical information may be carried out only with the consent of the individuals and legal entities who provided the information, or anonymously. Information received from other government agencies about individuals and legal entities is subject to dissemination with the consent of the government agencies that provided the information. Other conditions for the dissemination of primary statistical information are determined by the regulatory legal acts of the authorized body in relation to: information about legal entities with state ownership or a controlling stake owned by the state; non-confidential information from the State Statistical Register.".

 Article 2. This Law shall enter into force from the date of its official publication.
