Agreement

The Republic of Kazakhstan, the people's Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic, hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties, in order to clarify and establish the location of the junction point of the state borders of the three states, In accordance with Article 6 of the agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the people's Republic of China on the Kazakh-Chinese state border of April 26, 1994 and Article 6 of the agreement between the people's Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic on the Chinese-Kyrgyz state border of July 4, 1996, the following were agreed:

Article 1 henceforth referred to as the junction point of the state borders of the three states, the junction point of the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the people's Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic is located on a cliff with the 6695th mark of Khan Tengri peak. The named junction point is located at a distance of 5592 meters south of the height with the 4672nd mark located on the territory of Kazakhstan, 3387 meters north-northwest of the height with the 5292nd mark located on the territory of China and 3428 meters east-northeast of the height with the 6411th mark located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The junction point of the state borders of the three states has the following coordinates: 0 '"geographical: at north latitude B = 42 12 36.4 , at East longitude 0 '" L = 80 10 31.1 ; rectangular: X = 4675395, Y = 14431875. the location of the junction point of the state borders of the three states is indicated by a red circle on the jointly developed scale 1:50000 map attached to this Agreement and forming its integral part. The distances and signs of the heights referred to in this article, as well as the geographical and rectangular coordinates of the point of confluence of the state borders of the three states, are marked on the named map. The coordinates and signs of heights are given in the coordinate system of 1942 and the Baltic system of heights.

Article 2 the contracting parties agreed not to establish the junction point of the state borders of the three states on the ground.

Article 3 this Agreement establishes the necessary internal procedures for its entry into force

Enter into force from the date of sending the last written notification of execution by the contracting parties. In Bishkek on August 25, 1999, three copies were made, each in Kazakh, Chinese, Kyrgyz and Russian. If there is a difference of opinion in the interpretation of the provisions of this Agreement, the Contracting Parties will use texts in Russian and Chinese as a basis.
