On early termination of powers of maslikhats of all levels

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 19, 2023 No. 105

  In accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 86 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paragraph 3 of Article 101 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan", paragraph 2 of Article 23 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Local Public Administration and Self-Government in the Republic of Kazakhstan", I DECREE:

    1. Prematurely terminate the powers of maslikhats at all levels.

    2. The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take measures to appoint, organize the preparation and conduct of early elections of deputies of maslikhats at all levels.

    3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the akims of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and the regions should take measures to provide organizational, logistical and financial support for the early elections of deputies of maslikhats at all levels.

    4. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of publication.
