On measures for further improvement of the public administration system of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 2, 2023 No. 79

 In accordance with subparagraph 3) of Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to modernize and improve the effectiveness of the public administration system, I DECREE:

     1. To transform the State institution "Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan" into the State institution "Office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter referred to as the Government Office).

     To establish that the Government Apparatus is a State body responsible for:

     1) coordination of the activities of central and local executive bodies;

     2) organizational and legal, expert and analytical, personnel, information and logistical support for the activities of the Prime Minister and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. To make the following amendment to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 22, 1999 No. 6 "On the Structure of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan":

     In paragraph 1, the line "Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;" should be worded as follows:

     "The Office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;".

     3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan should ensure that appropriate amendments are made to regulatory legal acts in order to implement this Decree.

     4. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     5. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its signing.
