On measures to further streamline and improve the efficiency of the public administration system of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 2006 No. 73

To be published in the "Collection of Acts of the President and the Government" and the republican press    

            In accordance with subparagraph 3) article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paragraph 2 of Article 22 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 18, 1995 "On the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan" I DECREE:

     1. Reorganize:

     1) The Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan by dividing it into the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     2) The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the transfer of its functions for the development of tourism to the newly formed Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. To the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

     1) to abolish the Committee on Sports Affairs of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     2) take other measures resulting from this Decree.

     3. Add to Decree Of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 22, 1999 No. 6 "On the Structure of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan" the following amendments and additions: in paragraph 1: delete the paragraph as follows: "Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan"; add new paragraphs as follows: "Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Ministry of Tourism and Sports Of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

     4. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     5. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.
