To ratify the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Mutual Travel of Citizens dated May 19, 2000, made in Astana on April 7, 2010.

Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between By the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers Of Ukraine on mutual trips of citizens dated May 19, 2000

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, hereinafter referred to as the "Parties", in order to further streamline the regime of mutual travel of citizens of both states provided for by The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on mutual travel of citizens dated May 19, 2000, hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement", agreed as follows:
Article 1
Paragraph 1 of article 1 of the Agreement shall be worded as follows: "1. Citizens of the State of one Party may, on the basis of documents valid for traveling abroad, enter, transit, leave and stay in the territory of the State of the other Party without a visa for up to ninety (90) days during one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of the first crossing of the state border of the State of entry."
Article 2
Add paragraph 3 to Article 1 of the Agreement as follows: «3. Citizens of the State of one Party on the basis of reciprocity are exempt from registration with the competent authorities at their place of stay in the territory of the State of the other Party, if the period of such stay does not exceed ninety (90) days within one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of their first entry into the territory of the State of the other Party, if they have a migration card with the mark of the border control authorities affixed at the entrance to the territory of the State of this other Party."
Article 3
This Protocol shall apply provisionally from the date of signature and shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of receipt through diplomatic channels of the last written notification by the Parties of the completion of the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force. This Protocol shall cease to be in force simultaneously with the Agreement.
Done in Astana on April 7, 2010, in two copies, each in the Kazakh, Ukrainian and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the provisions of this Protocol, the Parties will refer to the text in Russian.
