To ratify the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Joint Military Exercises dated June 27, 2007, signed in Bishkek on April 29, 2019.

protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Joint Military Exercises dated June 27, 2007

The member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (hereinafter - SCO), hereinafter referred to as the Parties,

Guided by the need to improve the implementation mechanism of the Agreement between the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Joint Military Exercises dated June 27, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement),

have agreed on the following:

Article 1

To supplement the Agreement with Article 27-1 in the following wording:

"Article 27-1

Upon entry into force, this Agreement is open for accession by any State that is a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

For the acceding State, this Agreement shall enter into force 30 days after the date of receipt by the depositary of the instrument of accession.

The Depositary shall notify the Parties of the date of entry into force of this Agreement in respect of the acceding State.".

Article 2

This Protocol is an integral part of the Agreement and shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the depositary of the last written notification on the completion by the signatories of the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.

The depositary of the Agreement will send certified copies of this Protocol to the Parties within 15 days from the date of its signing.

Done in Bishkek on April 29, 2019, in one original copy in the Russian and Chinese languages, both texts being equally authentic.
