To ratify the Protocol on Amendments to the Charter of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, signed on June 7, 2002 in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation), signed in Tashkent on September 5, 2003.

PROTOCOL on Amendments to the Charter of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, signed on June 7, 2002 in the city St. Petersburg (Russian Federation)
The member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in accordance with the Decision of the Heads of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization dated May 29, 2003 on amendments to the Charter of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization dated June 7, 2002 (hereinafter referred to as the Charter), have concluded this Protocol on the following:
Article 1
In the first paragraph of Article 10 of the Charter, the phrase "Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic)" is changed to the phrase "Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan)".
Article 2
This Protocol is subject to ratification by the signatory States and shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit of the fourth instrument of ratification with the depositary.
Article 3
This Protocol is an integral part of the Charter.
Done in Tashkent on September 5, 2003, in one original copy in the Chinese and Russian languages, both texts being equally authentic.
