To ratify the Protocol on Amendments to the Customs Union Agreement on Veterinary and Sanitary Measures of December 11, 2009, signed in St. Petersburg on May 21, 2010.

PROTOCOL on Amendments to the Customs Union Agreement on Veterinary and Sanitary Measures of December 11, 2009
The Governments of the member States of the Customs Union within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, in accordance with Article 10 of the Customs Union Agreement on Veterinary and Sanitary Measures of December 11, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), have agreed as follows:
Article 1
Make the following changes to the Agreement: 1. Add the word "(or)" to the first paragraph of paragraph 1 of Article 4 after the words "control, and". 2. The first paragraph of paragraph 1 of Article 6 should be worded as follows: "Authorized bodies, if necessary and by mutual agreement, in order to ensure compliance with the legislation of the Customs Union on the protection of the customs territory of the Customs Union from the import and spread of pathogens of infectious animal diseases, including those common to humans and animals, and goods (products) that do not meet veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) requirements, may conduct joint inspections of organizations and persons engaged in production, processing and (or) storage of controlled goods imported into the customs territory of the Customs Union, as well as transported from the territory of the state of one Party to the territory of the state of the other Party.". 3. In the first paragraph of paragraph 2 of Article 7, the words "issued by authorized bodies" should be deleted.
Article 2
Disputes between the Parties related to the interpretation and/or application of this Protocol shall be resolved through consultations and negotiations. If the dispute is not settled by the Parties within six months from the date of receipt of an official written request for consultations and negotiations sent by one of the Parties to the other Parties, either Party submits the dispute to the Court of the Eurasian Economic Community for consideration.
Article 3
The procedure for entry into force, accession to and withdrawal from this Protocol shall be determined by Protocol on the procedure for the entry into force of international treaties aimed at forming the legal framework of the Customs Union, withdrawal from them and accession to them dated October 6, 2007.
Done in St. Petersburg on May 21, 2010, in one original copy in the Russian language. The original copy of this Protocol shall be kept at the Customs Union Commission, which, as the depositary of this Protocol, will send each Party a certified copy thereof.
