To ratify the Protocol on Amendments to the Lease Agreement for the Baikonur Complex between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 10, 1994, signed in Petropavlovsk on November 9, 2018.

Protocol on Amendments to the Lease Agreement for the Baikonur Complex between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 10, 1994

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation, hereinafter referred to as the Parties,

Confirming the mutual interest in improving the efficiency of using the Baikonur complex,

Guided by article 6 of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on the Development of Cooperation on the Effective Use of the Baikonur Complex dated January 9, 2004,

have agreed on the following:

Article 1

To make the following amendment to the Lease Agreement for the Baikonur Complex between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 10, 1994 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement):

Article 4 of the Agreement should be worded as follows:

"Article 4

Rental period

The Baikonur complex is leased until 2050.".

Article 2

This Protocol shall enter into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in article 11 of the Treaty.

Done in Petropavlovsk on November 9, 2018, in two copies, each in the Kazakh and Russian languages, both texts being equally authentic.
