On the establishment of the Institute of the Commissioner for Family Affairs under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 16, 2026 No. 1204.

In order to strengthen the protection of human rights, strengthen the institution of the family and improve the State family policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, I HEREBY DECREE:

     1. To establish the institution of the Commissioner for Family Affairs under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who carries out his activities as part of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a deputy chairman on a voluntary basis (hereinafter referred to as the Commissioner).

     2. To establish that the main objectives of the Commissioner are to strengthen the protection of the rights and interests of the family, strengthen the institution of the family and traditional family values, improve state family and demographic policy, prevent domestic violence, and promote the well-being of Kazakhstani families.

     3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take the measures resulting from this Decree.

     4. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     5. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its signing.
