On the formation of specialized inter-district economic and administrative courts

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 9, 2002 No. 803.

 In accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 3, paragraph 1 of Article 6 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2000 Z000132_ "On the judicial system and the status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

I decree:      

1. To establish specialized inter-district economic courts in Astana, Akmola, Aktobe, Almaty, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Mangystau, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, and South Kazakhstan regions authorized to consider economic disputes in accordance with current legislation.      

2. To establish specialized inter-district administrative courts in the cities of Astana and Almaty.    

3. The Qualification Board of Justice, the Minister of Justice, and the Chairman of the Supreme Court shall take measures, in accordance with the procedure established by law, to select candidates for the positions of chairmen and judges of the courts established by this Decree, and submit proposals on the staffing of these courts to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for consideration.      

4. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Committee on Judicial Administration under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take other measures arising from this Decree.      

5. To amend the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 16, 2001 N 535 U010535_ "On the formation of specialized interdistrict economic courts in the cities of Almaty and Karaganda" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2001, N 1-2, art. 1):      

in the name of the Decree, the word "cities" should be replaced by the word "city", the word

Replace "Karaganda" with the words "Karaganda region";

    In paragraph 1, the word "cities" should be replaced by the word "city", the word "Karaganda" should be replaced by the words "Karaganda region".

    6. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    7. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
