       To ratify the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on mutual recognition within the territories bordering the Republic of Kazakhstan, the districts of Issyk-Kul, Talas, Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and bordering the Kyrgyz Republic, the districts of Almaty, Zhambyl regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan of tourist visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic issued to citizens of third countries, signed in Bishkek on April 26, 2007.

       The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, hereinafter referred to as the Parties,  

       Guided by the desire to develop friendly and good-neighborly relations, promote the development of inbound tourism and ensure the security of the States of the Parties,  

       Considering it necessary to create optimal conditions for the entry, movement and exit of third-country nationals within the territories bordering the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Issyk-Kul, Talas, Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and bordering the Kyrgyz Republic, the districts of Almaty, Zhambyl regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan,  

       Recognizing that one of the effective means of achieving these goals is cooperation and operational interaction on tourism issues,  

       have agreed on the following:  

  Article 1  

     Within the territories bordering the Republic of Kazakhstan, the districts of Issyk-Kul, Talas, Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and bordering the Kyrgyz Republic, the districts of Almaty, Zhambyl regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, each Party recognizes tourist visas issued by the competent authorities of the State of the other Party to citizens of third countries, determined and agreed through diplomatic channels.  

  Article 2  

     Tourist visas issued to citizens of third countries in accordance with the national legislation of the State of each of the Parties for entry into the territory of its state, stay and exit, entitle their holders to freely enter and exit through multilateral checkpoints on the territory of the Issyk-Kul, Talas, Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan during the validity period of the visas. districts of the Almaty and Zhambyl regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan bordering the Kyrgyz Republic, with the exception of territories, closed for visiting by foreign citizens.  

  Article 3  

     The procedure for entry and registration of third-country nationals with tourist visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Kyrgyz Republic in the territories of the States of the Parties is carried out in accordance with the national legislation of the host State.  

  Article 4  

     The Parties exchange information on issues related to the stay of third-country nationals on the territories of their States, including the procedure for issuing tourist visas, rates of consular fees, as well as samples of passport and visa documents.  

  Article 5  

     By mutual agreement of the Parties, amendments and additions may be made to this Agreement, which are formalized by protocols and are integral parts of this Agreement.  

  Article 6  

     This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the last written notification by the Parties of the completion of the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force, and shall remain in force until the expiration of six months from the date of receipt by one of the Parties of the written notification by the other Party of its intention to terminate this Agreement.  

       Done in Bishkek on April 26, 2007, in two originals, each in the Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic.  

       In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the provisions of this Agreement, the Parties will refer to the text in Russian.
