To ratify the Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Society for the Establishment of SOS Children's Villages "SOS KINDERDORF INTERNATIONAL", signed in Astana on May 15, 2008.

Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Society for the Establishment of SOS Children's Villages "SOS KINDERDORF INTERNATIONAL"

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Society for the Creation of SOS Children's Villages "SOS KINDERDORF INTERNATIONAL" have agreed to make the following addition to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Society for the Creation of SOS Children's Villages "SOS KINDERDORF INTERNATIONAL" (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement):

Article 1

Add clause 2.10 to Article 2 of the Agreement in the following wording: "2.10. Provide reimbursement of SOS children's villages at the expense of local budgets for the maintenance of orphaned children and children left without parental care, partially or completely, if necessary."

Article 2

This Protocol is an integral part of the Treaty, is subject to ratification and enters into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in Article 5.2 of the Treaty.

Done on May 15, 2008 in Astana in two original copies, each in Kazakh, English and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the text of this Protocol, the Parties will refer to the text in Russian.
