On the Ratification of the Protocol on Ensuring the Technical and Information Compatibility of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Forces and Means of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

     To ratify Protocol on Ensuring the Technical and Information Compatibility of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, signed in Moscow on December 10, 2010.

  PROTOCOL on ensuring the technical and Information compatibility of weapons and military equipment of the Forces and Means of the collective security system Collective Security Treaty Organization

     The member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (hereinafter referred to as the Parties), guided by the provisions of The Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992 and the need to ensure the interaction of the armed forces of the Parties in carrying out joint tasks,

     have agreed on the following:

  Article 1

     This Protocol aims to: implement common approaches in organizing the use of associations, formations, units and subunits allocated from the national armed forces and other troops of the Parties to the forces and means of the collective security system of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (hereinafter referred to as the forces and means of the collective security system); ensure effective management of the forces and means of the collective security system. safety in the performance of their assigned tasks;       creating conditions for the operational satisfaction of the needs of the forces and means of the collective security system in technical, logistical and information support.

  Article 2

     In this Protocol, the technical and information compatibility of samples of weapons and military equipment (hereinafter referred to as - Weapons and military equipment) implies the suitability of weapons and military equipment in service with associations, formations, units and subunits allocated from the national armed forces and other troops of the Parties to the forces and means of the collective security system for joint use under specified conditions, the implementation of agreed operational and tactical standards, the implementation of maintenance and military repairs using technical support, equipped with the armed forces of the Parties.

  Article 3

     In order to implement this Protocol, the Joint Headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, within a year after its entry into force, forms, on the proposals of the Ministries of Defense of the Parties, a list of weapons and military equipment samples (hereinafter referred to as the List), their parameters and numerical characteristics, ensuring their technical and information compatibility.       The list is mandatory, approved and adjusted as necessary by the decision of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

  Article 4

     The Parties, within the time limits agreed upon by the Ministries of Defense of the member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, shall equip the associations, formations, units and subunits of their armed forces allocated to the multilateral forces and means of forces allocated to the multilateral forces and means of the collective security system with samples of weapons and military equipment that meet the conditions of the List.

  Article 5

     Disputes related to the application or interpretation of this Protocol shall be resolved through consultations and negotiations between the Parties concerned.

  Article 6

     Amendments and additions to this Protocol shall be made by mutual agreement and formalized in separate protocols, which are an integral part of this Protocol and enter into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in Article 7 of this Protocol.

  Article 7

     This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of the deposit of the fourth written notification to the depositary on the completion by the signatory Parties of the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.       For the Parties that have completed the necessary internal procedures later, this Protocol shall enter into force on the date of delivery of the relevant documents to the depositary.

  Article 8

     This Protocol is valid for the duration of its validity. The Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992, unless the Parties agree otherwise.       Each Party may withdraw from this Protocol by sending a written notification to the depositary no later than six months before the date of withdrawal, having settled financial and other obligations that have arisen during the validity of this Protocol.

     Done in Moscow on December 10, 2010, in one original copy in the Russian language. The original copy is kept at the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which will send a certified copy to each Signatory to this Protocol.
