On the relocation of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Astana

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 11, 2014 No. 793

In order to further improve the forecasting and analytical support of the strategic aspects of the development of the state

I DECREE:    

1. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan should ensure the relocation of the state institution "Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter – KISI) from Almaty to Astana.    

2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take other measures arising from this Decree.    

3. The Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ensure the allocation of premises for the placement of the CIS in Astana.    

4. Add to Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 13, 1997 No. 3614 "On Approval of the Regulations on the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1997, No. 36, Article 337; 2008, No. 20, Article 182) the following amendments and additions: The Regulations on the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the said Decree: the second part of paragraph 3 should be worded as follows: "The location of the Institute is the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana.";      Paragraph 5 should be supplemented with the following paragraph: "– to open its representative offices in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.".    

5. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.    

6. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.
