On the settlement of the copyright issue for the design of banknotes

DECREE of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 27, 1994 No. 1528

Based on the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on the temporary delegation of additional powers to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and heads of local administrations" and in order to strengthen guarantees of stability of the monetary system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I HEREBY DECREE:    

1. To establish that, in accordance with the current civil legislation, the approved design of banknotes and coins is the property of the state and is not subject to copyright.    

2. This Decree has the force of Law and is valid until the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on the Monetary System of the Republic of Kazakhstan".    

3. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan should submit to the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan a draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on the Monetary System of the Republic of Kazakhstan".    

4. This Decree has been put into effect since the date of publication.
