On the transfer of the administrative center of the Almaty region

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 14, 2001 No. 585

In accordance with article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 1993

 "On the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan" I decree:

    1. To move the administrative center of the Almaty region from the city of Almaty to the city of Taldykorgan.

    2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Akim of the Almaty region, should take the necessary measures to implement this Decree.

    3. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
