Notes: 1.- Unless otherwise specified in the context or in Note 4 to this chapter, this chapter includes only raw or washed products (including those using chemicals that remove impurities without changing the structure of the product), crushed, ground, powdered, sieved, enriched by flotation, magnetic separation or using other mechanical or physical processes (with the exception of crystallization). Products subjected to firing, calcination, obtained by mixing or processed by methods not specified in each heading are not included in this group. Group 26 Ores, slag and ash
Notes: 1.- This group does not include: (a) slags or similar industrial wastes in the form of macadam (heading 25.17); (b) natural magnesium carbonate (magnesite), calcined or non-calcined (heading 25.19); (c) sludge from storage tanks, petroleum products, consisting mainly of of these petroleum products (heading 27.10); (d) basic slag of group 31; (e) slag wool, mineral silicate wool or similar mineral wool (heading 68.06); (f) waste or scrap of precious metals or metals clad with precious metals; other waste or scrap containing precious metals or compounds of precious metals used primarily for the extraction of precious metals (heading 71.12); or (g) copper, nickel or cobalt matte obtained by any melting process (section XV). 2.- For the purposes of headings 26.01 to 26.17, the term "ores" means minerals commonly used in the metallurgical industry to extract mercury, metals of heading 28.44 or metals of section XIV or XV, even if they are intended for non-metallurgical purposes. Group 27 Mineral fuels, petroleum and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes
Notes: 1.- This chapter does not include: (a) organic compounds of a certain chemical composition, other than pure methane and propane of heading 27.11; (b) medicinal products of heading 30.03 or 30.04; or (c) mixed unsaturated hydrocarbons of heading 33.01, 33.02 or 38.05. 2.- For the purposes of heading 27.10, the term "petroleum and petroleum products obtained from bituminous rocks" means not only petroleum and petroleum products obtained from bituminous rocks, but also petroleum and petroleum products consisting mainly of mixed unsaturated hydrocarbons obtained by any method, provided that the mass of the non-aromatic components exceeds the mass of the aromatic. However, this does not include liquid synthetic polyolefins, less than 60 vol.% of which is distilled at a temperature of 300 ° C and a pressure of 1013 mbar by low-pressure distillation (group 39). 3.- For the purposes of heading 27.10, the term "spent petroleum products" means waste containing primarily petroleum or petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks (described in note 2 to this chapter), whether or not mixed with water.
