About L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian University

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 23, 1996 No. 2996

Considering the steadily expanding international relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its active participation in global integration processes, the implementation of the idea of the Eurasian Union

I DECREE:      

1. Transform Akmola University into L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian University.      

2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within one month from the date of entry into force of this Decree, shall determine the main tasks, the list of specialties, the structure and staff of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian University and approve its Charter in accordance with the established procedure, as well as resolve issues of financing, logistical support and the creation of necessary socio-economic conditions.living conditions for students and faculty of the university.      

3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of publication.
