About the immigration quota for 1996
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 24, 1996 N 2959
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Immigration" and in order to organize the resettlement and accommodation of repatriated refugees who have expressed a desire to return to their historical homeland, I hereby decree:
1. To establish the immigration quota submitted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 1996 in the amount of 4 thousand families according to the appendix.
2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
Take practical measures to implement this Decree;
to ensure the allocation of financial resources from the State Employment Assistance Fund for the organization of resettlement, reception, accommodation, purchase and construction of housing for repatriated refugees in the amount of 670 million tenge;
to identify areas for the compact settlement of refugee families, taking into account their kinship, economic and industrial ties, and employment in their specialties;
to provide reception, accommodation and creation of necessary social and living conditions for them;
In accordance with the established procedure, resolve the issue of allocating land plots for the construction of residential buildings and economic activities of repatriated refugees.;
extend to families of displaced persons the benefits established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan for housing, fuel, electricity, utilities and other services provided for the relevant categories of the population.
3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of publication.
