The following basic concepts are used in this Law:

1) secured digital asset – a digital asset registered through a digital platform for the storage and exchange of secured digital assets that meets the requirements for a secured digital asset;

2) a digital platform for the storage and exchange of secured digital assets is a set of information and communication technologies built on the basis of a distributed data platform that implements certain information interactions and are designed to solve specific functional tasks that enable information exchange;

3) an unsecured digital asset is a digital asset that does not meet the requirements for a secured digital asset;

4) digital asset – property created in electronic and digital form with the assignment of a digital code, including using cryptography and computer computing, which is not a monetary unit of account and (or) legal tender, registered and secured by the immutability of information based on the technology of a distributed data platform;

5) digital asset exchange – a digital platform that provides organizational and technical support for trading, issuing, circulation and storage of digital assets;

6) the authorized body in the field of digital assets (hereinafter referred to as the authorized body) is the central executive body responsible for the management and intersectoral coordination in the field of digital assets;

7) digital miner – an individual entrepreneur or a legal entity of the Republic of Kazakhstan engaged in digital mining activities;

8) digital mining is the process of performing computing operations using computer power according to specified encryption and data processing algorithms, ensuring confirmation of the integrity of data blocks through the blockchain;

9) digital mining data processing center is an information and communication infrastructure facility consisting of a hardware and software complex for digital mining and a production building located outside the residential area, using electric energy in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Electric Power Industry";

10) digital mining pool is a legal entity accredited in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on digital assets, providing a service for combining the capacities of a hardware and software complex for digital mining of digital miners, distributing digital assets obtained as a result of their joint activities among digital miners.
