1. Information and propaganda counteraction to terrorism is carried out in order to:

explanations of the danger of terrorism;

exposing the forms, methods, and techniques by which terrorists propagandize their views and ideas;

formation of anti-terrorist consciousness in society;

combining the efforts of government agencies engaged in countering terrorism and civil society institutions in the prevention of terrorism;

reducing the social base of support for terrorism.

2. State bodies engaged in countering terrorism are obliged to:

to organize and coordinate, within the framework of their competence, information and propaganda counteraction to terrorism;

to encourage the participation of representatives of the media, legal entities, civil society institutions, and religious associations in this activity.;

to participate in the formation of anti-terrorist consciousness in society.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 13, 1999 No. 416.

This Law establishes the principles, purpose, legal and organizational basis for countering terrorism.
