Article 10. General provisions on anthropogenic impact on the environment of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Anthropogenic impact on the environment is understood as the direct or indirect impact of human activities on the environment in the form of:
1) emissions, which are understood as the intake of pollutants released from anthropogenic objects into atmospheric air, water, on the ground or under its surface;
2) the physical effects of objects on the environment, which are understood as the effects of noise, vibration, electromagnetic fields, ionizing radiation, temperature and other physical factors that cause changes in the natural temperature, energy, wave, radiation and other physical properties of environmental components;
3) dumping of waste, its illegal placement on the earth's surface or entering water bodies;
4) greenhouse gases released from anthropogenic objects into the atmospheric air;
5) construction and operation of facilities (buildings, structures, structures, communications), as well as post-construction (demolition) of facilities that have exhausted their resources;
6) the use of natural resources and the beneficial properties of the natural environment, including through their temporary or irrevocable withdrawal;
7) the introduction of objects of the animal and plant world into the natural environment, including the deliberate release into the environment and the sale (placement) on the market of genetically modified organisms;
8) carrying out environmental protection measures.
2. Any form of anthropogenic impact on the environment is considered harmful, as a result of which harm may be caused to human life and (or) health, property and (or) which leads or may lead to environmental pollution, environmental damage and (or) other negative changes in the quality of the natural environment, including in the form of:
1) depletion or degradation of environmental components;
2) destruction or disruption of the sustainable functioning of natural and man-made natural objects and their complexes;
3) loss or reduction of biodiversity;
4) obstacles to the use of the natural environment, its resources and properties for recreational and other legally permitted purposes;
5) reducing the aesthetic value of the natural environment.
