Article 11. Competence of local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance, the capital in the field of biological safety of the Law on Biological Safety of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance, the capital within the competence established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) take measures and organize work to ensure biological safety;

2) provide measures to prevent biological threats and eliminate their consequences within the framework of operational headquarters established in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on civil protection in case of local emergencies;

3) carry out interregional cooperation and interaction in the field of biological safety;

4) exercise, in the interests of local government, other powers assigned to local executive bodies in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 21, 2022 No. 122-VII SAM.

This Law defines the legal basis of state regulation in the field of biological safety of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is aimed at preventing biological threats.
