Article 129. Seismic hazard assessment of the Building Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Seismic hazard assessment is carried out by determining the probability of an earthquake, as well as the vulnerability of construction sites (certification of construction sites).
2. Engineering seismometric stations are installed at construction sites classified as the first level of responsibility to determine dynamic parameters during their operation.
3. The seismic hazard assessment includes the calculation of the intensity of vibrations on the earth's surface and an assessment of the probability of their occurrence.

This Code regulates public relations related to the implementation of architectural, urban planning and construction activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the formation of a full-fledged habitat and human activity, planning and development of settlements, interuniverse territories, ensuring the safety of construction sites at all stages of their life cycle.
