1. The official passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued to officials according to the list approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Spouses and children under the age of eighteen who go on long-term business trips abroad together with persons holding official passports of the Republic of Kazakhstan are also issued official passports.

3. The official passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued for a period of validity of five years.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2013 No. 73-V.

This Law defines the legal basis of identity documents, establishes requirements for their registration, and regulates activities related to the production, issuance, replacement, delivery, seizure and destruction of identity documents.
