Article 14. The main content of a citizen's legal capacity The Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     A citizen may own property, including foreign currency, both within the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad, unless otherwise established by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption"; inherit and bequeath property; freely move around the territory of the Republic and choose a place of residence; freely leave the republic and return to enter its territory; to engage in any activity not prohibited by legislative acts; to create legal entities independently or with other citizens and legal entities; to make any transactions and participate in obligations not prohibited by legislative acts; to have intellectual property rights to inventions, works of science, literature and art, and other results of intellectual activity; to demand compensation for material and moral damage; to have other property and personal non-property rights.
