1. Renovation is a set of measures to renovate construction sites, including dilapidated and (or) emergency ones, aimed at improving their operating conditions in order to create a high–quality comfortable environment for settlements, providing the territory with social, engineering and transport infrastructure, landscaping, as well as bringing it into line with the architectural appearance of a settlement through reconstruction (major repairs), restoration or construction of new construction sites with the demolition of dilapidated and (or) dilapidated construction sites.

2. The objects of renovation are construction facilities located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and included in the renovation program in accordance with urban planning projects.

3. The objectives of the renovation are:

1) improving the quality of settlements and living conditions of individuals;

2) improving the functional, sanitary, energy and architectural efficiency of built-up areas;

3) preservation and adaptation of historical and cultural heritage sites.

4. The renovation program is financed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Code regulates public relations related to the implementation of architectural, urban planning and construction activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the formation of a full-fledged habitat and human activity, planning and development of settlements, interuniverse territories, ensuring the safety of construction sites at all stages of their life cycle.
