Article 15. Functions of judicial authorities in the field of legislative work, improvement of legislation Chapter 3. Basic functions, rights and obligations of judicial authorities The Law on Judicial Authorities

In the sphere of conducting legislative work and improving legislation, the judicial authorities perform the following functions:

1) legislative work, development of draft regulatory legal acts;

1-1) coordination of the legislative work of the central state bodies developing draft laws in accordance with the legislative initiative of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) legal expertise of draft regulatory legal acts;

2-1) organization of scientific legal and scientific linguistic expertise on the draft law;

2-2) giving an opinion on a draft law developed in accordance with the legislative initiative of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the results of a legal examination on a draft subordinate regulatory legal act and a draft information support and clarification program;

2-3) within its competence, coordination of procedures for public discussion of the advisory document on regulatory policy and draft regulatory legal acts in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Legal Acts";

3) involvement of specialists and experts from government agencies, organizations, including foreign ones, for the implementation of legislative, expert, scientific research and consultations, using budgetary and other funds for these purposes;

4) official explanation of regulatory legal acts of the Government jointly with interested state bodies on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) provision of legal informatization, maintenance of the "E-zannama" information system, maintenance of a unified legal information system;

6) coordination of scientific and research work of state bodies and organizations in the field of legislation.
