Parents and other legal representatives of children with disabilities have the right to:

1) to be present at the examination of the child in a psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation;

2) receive reliable information about the results of the child's examination, the goals and results of individual social and medical-pedagogical correctional support, consult with authorities and organizations engaged in the provision of medical, special educational and special social services;

3) for their children to receive social and medical-pedagogical correctional support established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) to reimburse the costs of homeschooling children with disabilities from among children with disabilities according to an individual curriculum in accordance with the procedure and amounts determined by decision of local representative bodies.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 11, 2002 No. 343.

This Law defines the forms and methods of social, medical and pedagogical correctional support for children with disabilities, is aimed at creating an effective system of assistance to children with developmental disabilities, solving problems related to their upbringing, education, labor and vocational training, and preventing childhood disability.
