1. Pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses in the field of customs affairs is carried out in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Customs authorities carry out proceedings on cases of administrative offenses and bring persons to administrative responsibility in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses.

3. Legal assistance and interaction of customs authorities with the customs authorities of foreign states in criminal and administrative cases are carried out in accordance with international treaties within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and (or) international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
