Article 17. Powers of the Supreme Court of the Constitutional Law on the Judicial System and the Status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. The Supreme Court is the highest judicial body in civil, criminal, administrative and other matters within the jurisdiction of local and other courts. In cases provided for by law, it examines court cases within its jurisdiction and provides explanations on issues of judicial practice.

     2. The Supreme Court:

     1) considers court cases and materials related to his jurisdiction;

     2) studies judicial practice and, based on the results of its generalization, considers issues of compliance with the rule of law in the administration of justice by the courts of the Republic;

     3) adopts regulatory resolutions, resolutions;

     3-1) excluded by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 02/21/2019 No. 226-VI (for the procedure of entry into force, see art. 2); 3-2) excluded by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 12/04/2015 No. 437-V (effective from 01.01.2016);

     4) exercise other powers provided for by law.

     3. Excluded by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 02/21/2019 No. 226-VI (for the procedure of entry into force, see art. 2).
