Article 173. Attacks on internationally protected individuals or organizations The Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1 An attack on a representative of a foreign State or an employee of an international organization enjoying international protection, or members of his family living with him, as well as on official or residential premises or vehicles of persons enjoying international protection, as well as the abduction or forcible deprivation of liberty of these persons, as well as the threat of such acts –
are punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
2 The same acts committed repeatedly, either with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, or by a group of persons by prior agreement, or involving serious harm to health, as well as committed with the aim of provoking war or complicating international relations, –
are punishable by imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years with confiscation of property, deprivation of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan or without it.
3 The acts provided for in the first or second parts of this Article that negligently caused the death of a person or were committed by a criminal group, –
are punishable by imprisonment for a term of fifteen to twenty years with confiscation of property, deprivation of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan or without it.
