Article 177. Procedural costs of the CPC of the Republic of Kazakhstan Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     The procedural costs consist of:

     1) the amounts paid to witnesses, victims and their representatives, experts, specialists, interpreters, understood in accordance with the procedure provided for in Articles 174, 175 of this Code;

     2) amounts paid to witnesses, victims and their representatives, witnesses who do not have regular earnings, to distract them from their usual activities;

     3) the amounts paid to witnesses, victims and their legal representatives, witnesses who work and have regular earnings, in compensation for the wages they have not received for all the time they have spent in connection with the summons to the body conducting the criminal process;

     4) remuneration paid to experts, translators, and specialists for the performance of their duties during a pre-trial investigation or in court, except in cases where these duties were performed as part of an official assignment.;

     5) the amounts paid for the provision of legal assistance by the defender in the event of the release of the suspect, the accused or the defendant from its payment or the participation of the lawyer in the inquiry, preliminary investigation or court as appointed;

     6) the amounts paid for the provision of legal assistance by the victim's representative (private prosecutor) in the event of his release from its payment;

     7) the amounts spent on storage and transfer of physical evidence;

     8) the amounts spent on conducting an expert examination in the judicial examination bodies;

     9) the amounts spent in connection with the search for the suspect, accused, defendant, fugitives from investigation or court, calculated in accordance with the procedure established by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     10) amounts spent in connection with bringing a suspect, accused, or defendant to an investigator or court if they fail to appear without a valid reason, as well as postponing the trial due to the defendant's failure to appear without a valid reason or his appearance in court in a state of intoxication;

     11) other expenses incurred during the criminal proceedings.
