Article 19. Entrepreneurial activity of citizens The Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Citizens have the right to engage in entrepreneurial activity without forming a legal entity, with the exception of cases provided for by this Code and other legislative acts.
2. The state registration of individual entrepreneurs consists in registration as an individual entrepreneur.
3. The rules of this Code, which regulate the activities of legal entities that are commercial organizations, shall apply accordingly to the entrepreneurial activities of citizens carried out without forming a legal entity, unless otherwise provided by legislation or the nature of the legal relationship.
4. Individuals are subject to state registration as an individual entrepreneur in accordance with the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4-1. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2017 No. 122-VI (effective from 01.01.2018).
5. If an individual entrepreneur carries out activities subject to licensing, he must have a license for the right to carry out such activities.
The license is issued in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on permits and notifications.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has the right to establish a simplified procedure for issuing licenses to individual entrepreneurs.
