The operational management body of the National Bank of Kazakhstan is the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The Board of Directors includes the Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, his deputies, heads of structural divisions and departments of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. The composition of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Kazakhstan is approved by the Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan chairs the meetings of the Board of Directors. On his instructions, a meeting of the Board of Directors may be chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The Board of Directors, in accordance with this Law, makes decisions on matters under the jurisdiction of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, with the exception of those matters that fall within the competence of the Monetary Policy Committee and the Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan (or his deputies).

The Board of Directors shall adopt resolutions on matters falling within its competence.

The Board of Directors determines the accounting procedure and preparation of separate and consolidated financial statements of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, as well as the accounting procedure and preparation of financial statements of the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
