1 Extortion, that is, demanding the transfer of someone else's property or the right to property or the commission of other property-related actions under threat of violence or destruction or damage to someone else's property, as well as under threat of spreading information that disgraces the victim or his relatives, or other information, the disclosure of which may cause significant harm to the interests of the victim or his relatives, –

is punishable by a fine in the amount of up to four thousand monthly calculation indices, or correctional labor in the same amount, or community service for up to one thousand hours, or restriction of liberty for up to four years, or imprisonment for the same term, with or without confiscation of property.

2 Extortion committed:

1) with the use of violence;

2) by a group of persons by prior agreement;

3) repeatedly, –

is punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of three to seven years or by imprisonment for the same term, with confiscation of property.

3 Extortion committed:

1) causing serious harm to the victim's health;

2) for the purpose of obtaining large-scale property, –

is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with confiscation of property.

4 The acts provided for in the first, second or third parts of this Article, if they are committed:

1) a criminal group;

2) on a particularly large scale, –

are punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years with confiscation of property.
