1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on joint-stock companies is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of the Civil Code, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The provisions of this Law shall be applied taking into account the specifics provided for by the legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2-1. The provisions of this Law shall apply to the National Welfare Fund and the National Welfare Fund group, and other legal entities controlled by it, unless otherwise provided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the National Welfare Fund".

3. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 13, 2003 No. 415.

This Law defines the legal status, procedure for the establishment, operation, reorganization and liquidation of a joint-stock company; the rights and obligations of shareholders, as well as measures to protect their rights and interests; the competence, procedure for the formation and functioning of the bodies of a joint-stock company; the powers, procedure for the election and responsibility of its officials.
