1. The State provides measures for the collection and dissemination of environmental information, including through:

1) maintaining and making publicly available the register of emissions and transfer of pollutants of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) development and publication of the National Report on the State of the Environment and on the use of Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) maintaining the state fund of environmental information and providing free access to it;

4) regular dissemination of environmental information in mass media, telecommunications networks or online platforms, as well as in the framework of environmental education activities conducted by government agencies.

2. Government agencies are required to provide support to the public in obtaining access to information, including by providing complete information on the type and volume of environmental information held by the relevant government agencies, and on the conditions and procedure for providing such information and access to it.

3. The local executive body of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital places on the official Internet resource:

1) annually until May 1 for the previous year:

approved environmental quality targets and the actual results of all relevant indicators;

information on the implementation of the State environmental policy at the local level;

information about the total amount of payment for negative environmental impact received by the local budget;

2) quarterly no later than the 15th day of the month following the reporting period:

report on the implementation of the environmental protection action plan and local budget expenditures for such activities;

summary data on the adopted declarations on environmental impact.

4. The authorized body in the field of environmental protection annually posts information for the previous year on the official Internet resource until May 1.:

1) on the implementation of the state environmental policy;

2) on implemented measures for remediation of environmental damage;

3) on expenditures of the republican budget on environmental protection measures;

4) on the results of the state environmental control and the total amount of fines collected to the budget for violating the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
