Article 23. Military uniforms and insignia of military personnel The Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel

     1. Military uniforms and insignia of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations are approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exception of military reservists, who are provided with field uniforms.

     Military personnel are provided with ceremonial, casual, field, special uniforms and items of special equipment.

     The rules for wearing military uniforms and insignia of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations, as well as other signs are established by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the specifics of wearing individual items of military uniforms and insignia are determined by the first heads of authorized bodies.

      Military personnel who have served in the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations for twenty-five years or more in calendar terms, when discharged or retired, are allowed to wear military uniforms, with the exception of persons discharged from military service on the grounds provided for in subparagraphs 9) and 11) of paragraph 1 of Article 26 of this Law.

 Citizens specified in the second part of paragraph 1 of Article 10 of this Law, when carrying out the professional activity of a teacher, are also allowed to wear military uniforms with the specifics of wearing certain items of military uniforms and insignia in accordance with the procedure determined by the rules of initial military training.

     2. The wearing of military uniforms by persons who do not have the right to do so is prohibited and entails liability established by law.

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 16, 2012 No. 561-IV SAM.

     This Law regulates public relations in the field of military service by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and defines the foundations of the state policy on social security for military personnel.
