1. Maslikhats of a city of regional significance with an estimated population of over one hundred thousand inhabitants:

1) coordinate projects for the establishment and modification of the city limits and the boundaries of the suburban area, the boundaries of subordinate settlements;

2) approve urban planning projects that have passed a comprehensive urban planning examination, as well as the rules for landscaping and engineering support of the city territory;

3) approve the rules for the preservation and maintenance of housing stock, other civil housing construction facilities, and engineering communications located under the administrative jurisdiction of a city of regional significance with an estimated population of over one hundred thousand inhabitants;

4) approve the rules agreed with the authorized body for architecture, urban planning and construction for the formation of the architectural appearance (components of a settlement) and urban planning of a city of regional significance with a special status in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.;

5) exercise other powers in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.

2. Maslikhats of a city of regional significance with an estimated population of up to one hundred thousand inhabitants:

1) coordinate the draft general plan of a locality (a city of regional significance with an estimated population of up to one hundred thousand inhabitants), a draft for establishing and changing the city limits and boundaries of the suburban area;

2) approve the rules for the improvement and engineering of the city and the suburban area, as well as the maintenance of housing stock, other civil housing construction facilities, engineering communications, which are administratively subordinate to the city of regional significance with an estimated population of up to one hundred thousand inhabitants;

3) exercise other powers in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
