 Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

develops and approves regulatory legal acts on citizenship issues in accordance with the goals and objectives of this Law and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

exercises other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

They accept applications for citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan from persons permanently residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan and, together with the necessary documents, send them to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for consideration through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.;

the loss of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan is registered by persons residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;

determine the affiliation (non-affiliation) to the citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan of persons residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 20, 1991 1017-XII. This Law regulates the issues of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
