The base rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan is the main instrument of monetary policy and a guideline for setting remuneration rates for monetary policy operations.

Remuneration rates for monetary policy operations are set by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in order to influence market remuneration rates in the financial market as part of its monetary policy.
