Article 45. Arrest of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Arrest consists in keeping a convicted person in strict isolation from society for the entire duration of the sentence.
The arrest is established for a period of ten to fifty days. The period of detention is included in the period of arrest.
Arrest is not imposed on minors, pregnant women, women with young children, men raising young children alone, women aged fifty-eight and over, men aged sixty-three and over, persons with disabilities of the first or second group.
Military personnel serve their arrest in the brig.
If the punishment is commuted, the term of arrest may be lower than the lower limit established by this article.
