Article 522. Appeal and appeal against the decision of the court of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. A decision of a district court and an equivalent court may be appealed on appeal according to the rules provided for in Chapter 48 of this Code, and a decision of the court of appeal, issued in the case provided for in part two of Article 439 of this Code, to the cassation instance by the defender, the victim and his representative, the legal representative or a close relative of the person where the case was considered, and also protested by the prosecutor. In the event that, in accordance with Article 515 of this Code, the person against whom a compulsory medical measure was applied participated in the judicial proceedings of the case, he has the right to appeal the court's decision if, according to the conclusion of the forensic psychiatric examination, the nature and severity of his illness do not prevent this.
2. A decision on the application of a compulsory medical measure shall be enforced in accordance with the procedure provided for in Chapter 51 of this Code.
