Article 63. Social protection of employees The Law on Law Enforcement Service
1. Employees, their family members and property are protected by the state in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. The special nature of service in law enforcement agencies and the responsibility of employees established by this Law are compensated by additional social rights and benefits.
3. When a law enforcement officer is moved and promoted in connection with moving from one locality to another for a distance of more than fifty kilometers, he is paid a lifting allowance in the amount of two months' salary for the employee himself and half a month's salary for each family member who moved with him.
When a law enforcement officer is transferred and promoted, he is reimbursed at the expense of budgetary funds for the transportation of up to ten tons of his own property, as well as for travel by rail, water, and road, including family members who moved with him.
The list of positions of law enforcement officers who are eligible for lifting allowances, reimbursement of transportation costs and transportation of their own property during transfers and promotions is determined by the head of the law enforcement agency.
Note. In this article, family members of law enforcement officers are understood to mean: spouse, joint or one of the spouses minor children (adopted, adopted, dependent or under guardianship); children of the spouse studying in full-time educational institutions, under the age of twenty-three; children with children with disabilities (adopted, dependent, or under guardianship) and children with disabilities of a spouse who has been diagnosed with disability before the age of eighteen; the parents and parents of the spouse who are dependent on the employee.
Dependent persons are family members of a law enforcement officer who live off his income and do not have an independent source of income.

This Law regulates public relations related to admission to the law enforcement service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status (status), financial support and social protection of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
