Article 69. Features of the regime of protection and use of state nature reserves The Law on Specially Protected Natural Territories
1. The following activities are prohibited in state nature reserves:
1) in complex state nature reserves - economic activities that pose a threat to the conservation of natural complexes, the introduction of alien species of plants and animals;
2) in zoological state nature reserves – hunting, extraction by any means and means of animals, with the exception of fish, the introduction of alien species of animals, the destruction of nests, burrows, dens and other habitats, the collection of eggs, except in cases of seizure for research, reproductive and reclamation purposes by permission of the authorized body;
3) in botanical state nature reserves - cattle grazing, haymaking, all types of logging, picking flowers, digging up roots, tubers and bulbs of plants, making bonfires, entering and moving vehicles off existing roads, introducing alien species of plants and animals, as well as other actions that have caused or may cause damage and the destruction of vegetation;
4) in hydrogeological state nature reserves - extraction of stone, gravel, sand and other minerals, destruction of caves, excavation, actions that may cause a change in the natural hydrological regime, surveys and scientific research related to the violation or destruction of natural components of the state nature reserve.
1-1. In complex state nature reserves, hunting and fishing are allowed by the authorized state body in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife within the permissible volume of seizure of wildlife objects that do not threaten the conservation of objects of the state nature reserve fund, based on biological justification.
1-2. In zoological state nature reserves, agricultural activities (cultivation of crops, haymaking, cattle grazing) and beekeeping are allowed in compliance with the established regime.
1-3. In order to ensure the safety of the population and prevent damage to the environment in state nature reserves, it is allowed to carry out reconstruction, major repairs, and liquidation of main pipelines located on the territories of state nature reserves.
2. The specifics of the regime of state nature reserves are determined by the passport.
3. State nature reserves may be used for scientific, ecological, educational, tourist, recreational and limited economic purposes.
Owners of land plots and land users have the right to carry out economic activities in state nature reserves in compliance with established restrictions.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 7, 2006 No. 175.
This Law regulates public relations on the creation, expansion, protection, restoration, sustainable use and management of specially protected natural territories and objects of the state nature reserve fund, representing special ecological, scientific, historical, cultural and recreational value, as well as being a component of the national, regional and global ecological network.
