Industry authorized body:

1) participates in the development of proposals and implementation of state policy in the field of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities, scientific and technological policy in the field of science and commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities, coordination of scientific research in the relevant industry;

2) participates in the formation of priority areas of fundamental and (or) applied scientific research in the relevant industry;

3) creates a scientific and technical council and approves its regulations;

4) organizes the development of scientific, scientific and technical projects and programs financed from budgetary funds, and implements them in the relevant industry;

5) approves reports on completed scientific, scientific and technical projects and programs in the relevant industry, financed from budgetary funds;

6) submits proposals to the authorized body on candidates for inclusion in the national scientific councils;

7) submits proposals to the authorized body on the formation of lists of subjects of basic financing and scientific organizations engaged in basic scientific research;

8) participates in the development of rules for the financing of science;

9) monitors the implementation of programs to promote the commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities in the relevant industry;

10) participates in the development of rules for the organization and conduct of state scientific and technical expertise;

11) participates in the development of regulations on national scientific councils;

12) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of science, scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities, commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities, defines the basic principles and mechanisms of functioning and development of the national scientific system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
